"Salvation To Surrender" has become a labor of love for me as the Lord has taken me on a personal journey in finding out what true and absolute surrender means in one’s life. As a “saved” Christian for over 35 years and struggling with my own “self-will”, and the on-going turmoil that most Christians face on a daily basis… it has become my heart’s desire to share the truth of surrender and what it means to truly find “true rest” in one’s life with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As I encountered much loss in my life as a "saved Christian", due to my own selfish will, the Lord wasn't going to allow me to continue down such a destructive road in hurting the people I loved and myself any longer. As I fell to my knees that one Sunday morning in late November of 2013, and cried uncontrollably realizing that I had lost almost everything in my life; my wife, my business, my financial stability and almost my two children, the Lord had finally brought me to the end of "myself". I finally cried out to Him, "I surrender all to you Lord, take control of every room of my life! I no longer want the control of myself. I give it all to You". 

 

That day became the very beginning of my newfound "rest" in my Lord. From that day the Lord has taken me down the road of teaching me what "true surrender" means in one's life. That joy in my heart became the very essence in writing the testimony the Lord gave me in the book entitled, "Salvation to Surrender....A 35 Year Journey In Finding True Rest".

That joy continues today in this Blog, "Salvation2Surrender.com", and in the sharing of the book that helped change my life, "Absolute Surrender" by Andrew Murray. It was through this book that the "workbook" was created as well, to help others come to better understand what "absolute surrender" means in one's life.

​

Upon completing the nine chapters of the workbook of "Absolute Surrender", I will continue to offer additional posts of surrender utilizing daily devotionals such as "Our Daily Bread" and the lessons of "Absolute Surrender" we learned to apply to our daily lives.
