WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE SURRENDER TO GOD?

​

There are two stages to our Surrender:

First and foremost, is through our total surrender to God that we can begin to see and experience His love and His relationship He desires to have with each and every one of us. He has proven His love for us through the death of His Son Jesus on the cross.  This is our salvation, our first step, as we come to recognize and receive this free gift, He has given to each and every one of us.

Secondly, our absolute and total surrender opens the door to our whole heart to Him so that He can begin the "cleansing" and "healing" process of all our wounds and hurts we have experienced in our lives and that we all fully seek and need. "This is Salvation to Surrender..."

When it comes to God, it means that we are acknowledging that He did everything for us already. We do not have to do anything to get ourselves into heaven. He did it all by sending His son, Jesus, to die for us. We are surrendering to this truth and our giving up of our “self-will” to Him daily.
 

Surrender is living a life of rest with our God, through His Son Jesus. As we surrender to Jesus as our Lord and Savior, moment-by-moment, day-by-day, we will come to find true peace and rest in our lives.

What does surrender mean? Yes, it means yielding, submitting, conceding, and it can mean admitting defeat, but the defeat is to God, in what He has already done for us.
 

If you have felt defeated by life, if you have felt like you can not win, then you might be in the perfect place to surrender. Concede that your plans have not worked. Submit to the idea that there is a better way, God’s way. Yield, to His Love, and find the good in surrender.
