What is Salvation?

Finding salvation in one's life is first recognizing that you were first created by a loving and wonderful God...That He created you to have a relationship with Him. In Psalm 139, King David wrote about how much God knows us and knows our every move we make in our lives. But in verses 13 and 14, king David says that God knew us from the very creation in our mother's womb;  "(13) For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. (14) I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well".

But for us to have a relationship with God, we must first recognize that we are all sinners by nature passed down to us from the very beginning with Adam and Eve, when they sinned against God. All through history, man has continually sinned before God and has since tried to find a way to find favor with Him, but we have continually failed.

You see all the religions in the world can never please God based on His standard. God's standard is perfection. It says in the Book of Matthew in verse 48: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect".  You see, none of us can ever meet God's standard of holiness and perfection. That's why He sent His son Jesus into the world. By receiving Jesus into our life, we are now receiving the perfect sacrifice of what Jesus did for us on the cross. He paid, once and for all, the penalty of our sins that we could never pay. The bible says in Chapter 6 of Romans: " (23) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

All we have to do is receive the free gift of eternal life through Jesus His son, and begin our relationship with God that He always intended for us to have. If this is something you would like to do, you can do it right now. All it takes is for you to acknowledge that you need God in your life, and you want to receive Him through the gift He has made available to you, through His Son Jesus.

I want to share with you a simple prayer, and it goes something like this:

"Lord Jesus, I want You to come into my life right now. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my heart, my life, and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. I surrender the control of my life to You. Make me the kind of person You want me to be, in Your name I pray, Amen."

If this prayer is something you want to say to God, then please do so now. Just remember, there's nothing magical in these word. God is looking at your heart right now. He'll know if you really mean what you are praying.

If you do say this prayer, then please let me know so that I can welcome you to the "Family of God" personally. Email me at: edward@salvation2surrender.com, and let me know that you have accepted Jesus into your heart.

P.S. The following is a link called the "Four Spiritual Laws". This outline will further help you understand what you just prayed. It helped me many years ago to know who Jesus is and what He did for me on the cross.
