This question comes from a story that Andrew Murray told upon a trip to Scotland when he was speaking to a godly worker. He asked this man what he would say was the great need of the Church is today, and the message that ought to be preached.
This man's answer: "Absolute surrender to God is the one thing"
QUESTION 4:
On page 2, Andrew Murray speaks of what he learned what Absolute Surrender from a godly man in Scotland who trained workers for the church. What did this godly man tell Andrew Murray about the need of some of these men that would work hard and were willing to learn even though they may be backward and uneducated?
ANSWER To Question 4 (As stated by the Author)
The words struck me as never before. And that man began to tell how, in the workers with whom he had to deal, he finds that if they are sound on that point, (surrender wholly to God), even though they be backward, they are willing to be taught and helped, and they always improve; whereas others who are not sound there, (not surrendered), very often go back and leave the work. The condition for obtaining God's full blessing is absolute surrender to Him.
