August 25, 2021: Do We Accept God's Forgiveness or Do We Still Walk Around as An Unforgiven Person?

I have found by talking to many different people over my lifetime, that many Christians still face the hard truth of forgiving themselves for their past sins of themselves and of others, to the point of crippling their walk with the Lord.
Upon reading a message from "Our Daily Bread" entitled, "NO FISHING ALLOWED", I was reminded many of us still go fishing in the deep waters where God has already cast our sins into. We as believers, fail to grasp, the important truth of God's forgiveness, and that when God forgives our wrongdoing, our sins, we are fully forgiven. We don't have to keep bringing up our shameful deeds and keep stumbling in the disgracefulness of our sinful past. We must come to obey the truth of the sign; "No Fishing Allowed", or God's promise in Psalms:
Psalms: 130: 7 & 12
Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love, and with him is full redemption.12: As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
You see, as we accept God's full redemption of His grace and forgiveness, and surrender all of ourselves to Him, we become free of the guilt of our sins and are now able to be used by God and the Holy Spirit for His glory and purpose. When we are caught up in the feelings of our shame and disgrace, we cannot serve God with our whole hearts. Instead, we are restricted by our past, a past that has long been forgotten by God. So why are we still holding on to it?
Let us begin to "walk as unforgiven" Christians and let our "light of Jesus" shine through us so that others may find the "Light" as well.
PERSONNAL COMMENT:
When we are still feeling hindered by the wrongs we have done, then we have not fully surrender all to God, and we are not accepting Him at His word. Ask God to help you believe in His gift of forgiveness and the renewed life He has given you. He has cast our sins into the deep waters and remembers them no more. Let us take Him at His word!
