As we come into this Christmas season of 2020, there are so many of us that are hurting and struggling with so many issues in our lives, such as money for rent, food to eat, even gifts for the kids. All these things are important to us and our heavenly Father knows this as well.

The greatest gift we can give to ourselves and to our children is the gift of Jesus Christ, our Savior. He is the reason for this season. He suffered for us to give us His "Gift of Grace", for the forgiveness of our sins, so that we may one day come home to heaven with Him. What a great gift to be able to pass on to our children and ourselves.

Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Let us stop blaming God for the bad things that happen in our lives but let us begin praising Him for the things we do have. There is so much to be thankful for. God knows we need many things, and He will provide, all we need to do is turn our trust to Him. Let us stop working hard for ourselves, "surrender everything" to Him, and trust Him that He will provide. We need to fully rest in Him.

Hebrews 4:10

For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

If we have truly given our hearts to Jesus, and surrendered all to Him, then we no longer have to keep working in trying to please God. The work has already been completed on the "Cross of Calvary". Jesus has completed the work for us. All He ask of us is to "fully rest" in Him. The work is completed. Just as God rested, so can we.

PERSONNAL COMMENT:

I know this is much easier said than done. But if we truly trust in our Lord and pray to Him as our Father, He will hear us. Let your tears of hurt and frustration be clear to Him. He knows already what you are feeling, just be honest with Him and begin to see His hand at work in your life. He truly is a loving God and Father.
