In today's world our circumstances can sometimes become too heavy to endure, or to carry. The weight of our burdens can become unbearable at times. We cry out to God and wait for an answer, but at times His answer does not seem to come in time, or we get a different answer than we expected.
What do we do at times like these? Do we scream out louder at God? Do we curl into a ball and cry uncontrollably, or do we come to accept our bad circumstances as they are and give up, and come to believe that nothing will ever change?
Each of these choices we have all experienced. I know I have. To live like this can become crippling to one's life. To have "no hope" in our God or to give up on life altogether is not the answer.
But most of us, because of our stubborn hearts, must come to the point in dealing with our circumstance this way. We must come to the "end of ourselves" to realize we have no control of our lives and/or circumstances. We must become tired in trying to fix things in our lives. We must come to "complete and absolute surrender" of ourselves and to God.
When this happens...when we realize that we cannot control anything in our lives, and we finally give up and "truly surrender everything" to God, then and only then, do things begin to change. We begin to see things from God's point of view, not ours. We begin to see that the promises of God are true. He does truly love us and is always there for us. But the key element in our lives is to wait upon the Lord for His direction, not what we want for ourselves.

Isaiah 40: 31 (NKJV)
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
PERSONNAL COMMENT:
One of the hardest things for most people to do is to wait. But while we wait on the Lord and begin building our relationship with Him through reading His word, (the Bible), we begin to see who God really is. He is trustworthy, He is a loving and forgiving God. Let us begin today in trusting our God in all we do.
