July 01, 2020; "By The Grace of God"...Who Do We Trust...Ourselves or God?

As I write this post, I am reminded of the hard times that many people are going through at this very moment in their lives. I personally have friends and family that are surviving day-to-day during this hard-hitting pandemic. They have lost their means of making a living and provide for their family and pay their bills to keep their roof over their heads.

It is only by God's grace that we are able to move forward one step at a time. But as we fully surrender our hearts and minds to Him, we can begin to see a ray of hope. He will sustain us as His children and He will never leave us nor forsake us.

We must begin by "stop trusting ourselves" and "our efforts" and come to rely on God's total grace that He supplies to us moment-by-moment. It is not until our full and absolute surrender of ourselves to Him will we begin to see His blessing and supporting hands around us.

Our eyes must be "heaven-bound", not earthly-bound. We must be praising and giving thanks to our Lord in spite of the little we have. And even in our bounty, we must give thanks and praise to our God, because we don't know if we will always be in this position of plenty. While we do have plenty, we must ask God to show us where we can give to help others and pray for His direction in everything we do and begin to see His hand move in our life.
