July 10, 2020: The Children of The Living God, Purchased By The Blood of Jesus; "A Parade of Colors"

Preparing for today's post, I had no idea what I was going to write about. Of course I began to pray and asked God to lead me. He then lead me to tomorrow's "Our Daily Bread", entitled, "A Parade of Colors".

As we look to what's been happening in today's world with the "Black Lives Matter" movement, I think about what God has already accomplished through the "Blood of Jesus." Through His death on the cross and His resurrection to life, He has brought together all nations and tongues making "All Lives Matter" to God.

God's purpose through Jesus was to reconcile all of His children back to Himself so that we may find our "true rest" with Him, once again. All through history, man has continually sinned before God and has since tried to find a way back to Him, but we have continually failed Him.

You see all the religions in the world can never please God based on His standard. God's standard is perfection. It says in the Book of Matthew in verse 48: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect".  You see, none of us can ever meet God's standard of holiness and perfection, if we are trying to earn our way into heaven through our "works". That's why He sent His Son Jesus into the world. By receiving Jesus into our life, we are now receiving the perfect sacrifice of what Jesus did for us on the cross. He paid, once and for all, the penalty of our sins that we could never pay.

It is only through our "absolute surrender" to God's grace and mercy that we can find "true rest and peace" with each other and with God, and come to recognize that "all lives matter" in God's eyes.
