The thought of dying and death is a fear most people think about as we get older. Even as Christians, we can tend to fear death, but we have no reason to.
Death for the Christian becomes the doorway into eternity. Our time here on earth ends and our time in heaven begins with our beloved Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ...and with those family and friends who died previously and have accepted Jesus as their Lord into their hearts.
For most people, without the Lord Jesus in their hearts, fear the sting of death. They fear the unknown, the darkness that lies ahead. But we do not have to fear these things. When Jesus Christ died on the Cross of Calvary, and arose again on the third day, He swallowed up the sting of death through His resurrection and purchased a place in heaven with Him if we are willing to acknowledge Him as our Lord and Savior.

I Corinthians 15: 54b-55 (NKJV)
"Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
The law of God is good, but it is through this strength of the law, we are made aware of our sinfulness. The purpose to the law is to drive us to our knees in "complete and absolute surrender" to Him. Satan wants to accuse us before God because he knows his time is short. By accepting Jesus into our hearts, we can stand before God with a pure heart because of the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. We no longer fear death or try to hold onto our lives because on the other side of our death is eternal life with our Lord.
Revelation 12: 11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
PERSONNAL COMMENT:
Today's world is filled with accusations and fear, and it is constantly trying to prevent us from sharing the love of God to others. Let us stand firm in our belief and march forward with the "Good News" of Jesus. Let us no longer have the fear of death in our hearts because the Blood of the Lamb has paid the price of death fully.
