As I read today's "Our Daily Bread" entitled "Simply Ask" I am reminded of proverbs once again:

Proverb 3:5-6:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (NIV)

When we ask things of God for help in our lives...Are we asking Him for His help to bless our wants or desires, or are we asking Him to move before us as we surrender to Him for the working of His hand in our life?

How we pray to our Lord is vital to our mental state of mind. We can pray with anxiety in our hearts or with peace of mind of knowing that our God is in total control of everything that is going on around us. What great peace that brings!

Many times we make our plans, but they are not God's plan for us, so we become disappointed in the outcome. But the outcome was always God's purpose and we miss the blessing of His "*handiwork" in our lives because our mind set was our purpose not His.

(*Eph. 2:10)

As we surrender all to God's will and purpose, we have nothing to fear or be disappointed about because its always about "His plan" for our life not our plan.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, In earth as it is in heaven. (Matt: 6:10)
