March 4, 2020-Chapter 2: "The Fruit Of The Spirit Is Love"- Question 1

This first question beginning in Chapter 2, begins with understanding the purpose of the indwelling Holy Spirit in us as new believers. We want to look at the fact of a life filled with the Holy Spirit more from the practical side, and to show how this life will show itself in our daily walk and conduct.

Question: 1

When God gave us the Holy Spirit to indwell in us upon our conversion, (salvation); What was God’s purpose in doing so? What must I be allowing the Holy Spirit to do in me? (Page 13)

ANSWER To Question 1 (As stated by the Author)

When God gives the Holy Spirit, His great object is the formation of the holy character. It is a gift of a holy mind and spiritual disposition, and what we need above everything else, is to say:

"I must have the Holy Spirit sanctifying my whole inner life if I am really to live for God's glory."
