In reading of "Our Daily Bread", in Psalms 90, I am reminded of God's love for His people of Israel. Moses, the great leader of Israel, wrote this Psalm to help all of us understand the love of God. Moses begins by reminding the people of Israel that God is their dwelling place throughout all generations. Read the follow:

Psalms 90: 1-2
Lord, you have been our dwelling place
throughout all generations.
Before the mountains were born
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
God had chosen the nation of Israel to be His chosen people who would become the messengers of God to the entire world. They were to become the nation that would lead the world to God, Himself. But they failed God in so many ways throughout their generations.
Moses' prayer to God gives us an insight of the love that Moses had for God and his people. This prayer reaches out to us as well, as we wake up every day, seeking God in our life, wanting to know if He cares for us.
We can rest assured that God loves and cares for us. It was through the nation of Israel that God brought His Son, Jesus, into this world...It was through Jesus that God shows His love and caring heart for us. It is through Jesus' death on the cross that should bring us to our very knees in tears of repentance and love for Him. It is through God's love for us that we should be willing to "absolutely surrender" all to Him. We can trust and love God because He first loved us.
Psalms 90: 12-14 (NIV)
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
Relent, Lord! How long will it be? Have compassion on your servants. Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
PERSONNAL COMMENT:
Let us remember that our days are numbered...We have but a limited time on this earth, let us not waste it striving or fighting over the wrong things of this life. Let us all take the time to share the love of God to others. Do we matter, of course we do? Let us show God how much He matters to us.
