In today's reading of "Our Daily Bread", in the book of 2 Corinthians, we are reminded that as Christians, believers in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, we now have the opportunity and privilege to go before God and commune with Him on a personal level. Just as Moses did in the book of Exodus, he asked God if he (Moses) could see His glory.
By the power given to us through the Holy Spirit living in us, we can go with confidence before God and talk with Him. Read the following scripture closely:

2 Corinthians 3: 17-18
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.
It is through our confession of faith in Jesus, our Lord, and through our "absolute surrender" to Him in all the areas of our life, that we are being "transformed" into His image daily. Imagine, God is transforming us from "glory to glory" by the power of His Holy Spirit, if we will allow Him too.
But the sad story is that many of us tend to run away from God than to Him. We are ashamed to go before God because of who we are or what we have done. But you see, if we have accepted Jesus into our hearts as our personal Savior, we are now free from the guilt and penalty of those sins, and we can now go before God freely without any shame or guilt whatsoever. God is now able to begin His transformation in us, into the new person He now wants us to become, if we will only let Him. We have and are now becoming a "new creation" by the power of the Holy Spirit living within us.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
PERSONNAL COMMENT:
The question is this: Will we allow God to create in us the "new person" He wants us to become? Will we "absolutely surrender" all of ourselves, "all our self-will" to Him and allow Him now to begin the "new life" in us? Allow Him to bring the peace and rest we have always been seeking for deep down in our hearts. Praise God for His great love for us.
