As I read today's "Our Daily Bread" (September 10, 2020) I was reminded that as Christians, believers in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, we now have the opportunity and privilege to go before God and commune with Him on a personal level. Just as Moses did in the book of Exodus, he asked God if he (Moses) could see His glory.

By the power given to us through the Holy Spirit living in us, we can go with confidence before God and talk with Him. Read the following scripture closely:

2 Corinthians 3: 17-18

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.

It is through our confession of faith in Jesus, our Lord, and through our "absolute surrender" to Him in all the areas of our life, that we are being "transformed" into His image daily. Imagine, God is transforming us from "glory to glory" by the power of His Holy Spirit, if we will allow Him too.

But the sad story is that many of us tend to run away from God instead of to Him. We are ashamed to go before God because of who we are or what we have done. But you see, if you have accepted Jesus into your heart as your personal Savior, you are now free from the guilt and penalty of those sins, and you can now go before God freely without any shame or guilt whatsoever. God is now able to begin His transformation in you, into the new person He now wants you to become, if you will only let Him. You have and are now becoming a "New Creation".

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

PERSONNAL COMMENT:

The question is this: Will you allow God to create in you the "new person" He wants you to become? Will you "absolutely surrender" all of yourself, "all your self-will" to Him and allow Him now to begin the new life in you? Allow Him to bring you the peace and rest you have always wanted in your life. I prayer and hope that you will.
