September 15, 2021: Why Do We Fight God in Our Surrender to Him? Are We Our Own Creation, or Is He?

I was in a bible study this past week and the subject of creation came up and I posed the question: "Is all of creation that God created, completely and absolutely surrendered to Him?" Some said yes, others said no. Think about it...God created the sun, moon, stars, flowers, trees, and everything the earth has to offer us. All of creation is surrendered to God because He created them. Do they (creation) not allow God to work in them just as He pleases? Of course, they do, He created them.
Now there is one other "created being" in creation that God created that is "not" surrendered to Him. Do we know who that created being is...Us? And do we know why God did not created us fully surrendered to Him? Because He did not want robots serving Him. He created us in His image. He created us with "free will", to be able to choose.
Genesis 1: 26
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
We have the "free will" to choose to love God or reject Him. We have the free will to be "absolutely surrendered" to Him or not. Now the question is this: "Can God fully be God without our "absolute surrender" or partially surrendered? God cannot. God wants us to receive His "full unconditional blessings" if we would allow Him to give it to us. But if we continue to choose our own "self-will", and not allow God to be God in our lives, we will never truly see the loving Father that He is. Our selfishness will continually block His full blessings in our lives. In the 64th Chapter of Isaiah says it so clearly:

Isaiah: 64: 8 (NKJV)
But now, O Lord,
You are our Father;
We are the clay, and
You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.
Personnel Comment:
Are we ready to receive God's full and unconditional blessings in our lives? Are we ready to allow God to be the "Potter" and allow Him to mold us as He sees fit for us? Let us surrender all our "self-will" to Him? Only God can fulfill that emptiness in our hearts. Let us turn to Him now and accept Jesus as our personal Savior and surrender all to Him and receive the true rest and peace we seek.
