In reading today's "Our Daily Bread", I am reminded again of how awesome and powerful our God is. In the Book of Isaiah, chapter 40: 21-28, Isaiah speaks about our God who looks down from His canopy in the heavens and see all that is going on among the people of the earth.

Isaiah 40: 21-23
Have you not known? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning?
Have you not understood from the foundations of the earth?
22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers,
Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.
23 He brings the princes to nothing; He makes the judges of the earth useless.
And then Isaiah goes on to speak about how God puts people on the earth and plants them as He see fit. And no sooner than He plants them, He blows on them and they wither away. What an awesome and powerful God we worship. Let us not forget that this same God gave us the right to be born, to live, to breathe the air He created.
Isaiah 40: 24: Scarcely shall they be planted, Scarcely shall they be sown,
Scarcely shall their stock take root in the earth, When He will also blow on them,
And they will wither, And the whirlwind will take them away like stubble.
Isaiah goes on to say that this God whom we worship, knows each star by their name. Not one is lost. What an awesome and wonderful God!
V: 25: “To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One.
26 Lift up your eyes on high, And see who has created these things,
Who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name,
By the greatness of His might And the strength of His power; Not one is missing.
This same God, whom Isaiah speaks about, knows every one of us by name. He is calling every one of us to Himself. He loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die on the cross for us. But knowing this is not enough. We must choose to receive His Son into our hearts for our adoption to take place. It is through our receiving of God grace and mercy of His special gift of His Son, that we then are called to be the children of God.
PERSONNAL COMMENT:
Our time here on earth is coming to an end sometime soon. Let us not lose out on all the comfort, love, and mercy that God is waiting to show us. Let us receive Him today...Let us "Surrender" all to Him.
