The following questions is something I probably feared as a Christian for most of my 35 years as a believing Christian. I think most of us do. We fear of; "What's God going to make me do?"; "Do I have to sell everything I own and live as a street person to evangelize for Him?". or, "Will I have to go to Africa?". There is so much that we fear of God and have so little trust and faith in our Loving Father.

For me, at my time of absolute surrender, I had no choice but to surrender all to Him. I had already lost almost everything...My wife, my business and my financial security by filing bankruptcy. God made it very clear to me one day during my devotional time with Him after my surrender, that I would have lost my two children if I hadn't come to surrender.

The thing is, our God, our Father, will never make us do anything that will harm us or that we cannot handle that He hasn't already prepared us for. He knows our deepest fears, our thoughts and He will never place us into a situation that He isn't already there with us. Let us stop fearing and start trusting our Loving Father. Praise God for His ever lasting presence with us.

Question: 7

Do we, as children of God, sometimes fear that by giving up fully of “self” to God would lead us into a life of trouble and agony? Why do you think we feel this way about God?

ANSWER To Question 7 (As stated by the Author)

Alas! alas! that God's children have such thoughts of Him, such cruel thoughts. Oh, I come to you with a message, fearful and anxious one. God does not ask you to give the perfect surrender in your strength, or by the power of your will; God is willing to work it in you. Do we not read; "It is God that worketh in us, both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Phil. 2:13)? And that is what we should seek for - to go on our faces before God, until our hearts learn to believe that the everlasting God Himself will come in to turn out what is wrong, to conquer what is evil, and to work what is well-pleasing in His blessed sight. God Himself will work it in you.
